2022 The best year yet!

Welcome to my first post of the year!

Already half way through January - Where does the time go!

As an individual who runs a business independently and works full time alongside life can get pretty crazy. I definitely wanted to have this posted before now but here we are.

I am happy to say, 2022 was my best year yet at Daisy Grice Jewellery since launching in 2018. There were ups and downs as there always is throughout a year but I am so proud to have ticked a few career goals off the list.

First of all, GOLDSMITHS FAIR! To showcase my work at Goldsmiths Fair has been a dream of mine since I was at university and I could not believe my eyes when I received the acceptance email fly into my inbox. The Fair was everything I had hoped for an more. My showcase was situated in the Livery Hall between two fabulous makers, Cara Tonkin and Elsa Tierney. It was so lovely to meet so many new customers and have such positive feedback for my work from both Fair attendees and fellow makers.

Rachel Garrahan, the Jewellery and Watch director of British Vogue even selected my Twisted Tales collar for the 40 at 40 exhibition celebrating 40 years of the Goldsmiths Fair. It is safe to say I was in my element and the week was an incredible success.

Secondly, thanks to the fabulous work of Fay Cannings at sustainable fashion marketplace, Seekd - Daisy Grice Jewellery hit the pages of Harvey Nichols online as part of the Seekd X Harvey Nichols partnership. The Double Fang pendant was even selected by the HN marketing team for the Christmas gift guide which was just amazing. The partnership was originally set to run from August - December 2022 but due to it's success it will now be running into Spring 2023 (and hopefully further).

Thirdly, I was honoured to have been shortlisted as a finalist for "Young Jewellery Designer of the Year" in the Professional Jeweller award 2022. Seeing my name in the shortlist was such a suprise as I had not even entered so I had been nominated by another company which is such an amazing feeling to think that people believe I am worthy of such an award.

/>My fourth and final highlight of the year has got to be when Tiggi Hawke released her incredible music video, Giants styled by the fabulous Adele Cany sporting the Spine tooth ring and the Sleek Bone ring paired with a gorgeous Iris Van Herpen Dress. Check out Tiggi's latest release V838 INTRO.
All in all a fantastic year and I am so happy to be starting 2023 with a positive mindset and loads of exciting ideas and plans, lets see what this year brings.

Thank you for reading, I wish you a fabulous 2023.

DG x
