2025 Highlights

2025, wow, what a year!

As many jewellers will tell, this has not been the easiest year. The changes in international tariffs and the increase in precious metals has definitely bought uncertainty for small business owners but as my dad once told me “If running a business was easy, everyone would be doing it"

This year has been a year of firsts for my business and me perosnally and I wanted to write this blog post as a reflection of the year.

In January I designed and crafted a striking black nylon and polished sterling silver trilogy spine ring - the first of it's kind. I was thrilled when said ring was then selected by Goldsmiths Fair to exhibit at the presigious Collect art fair.

I wanted to test out some new shows in 2025 and following good feedback I decided to apply for the Craft in focus show held at the Hever Castle and Craft in Focus X Desire held at Waterperry gardens and I am thrilled to say that both were a great success so I wil be returning to CIF events in 2026 so keep your eyes peeled for announcements.

Having known in Decemeber 2024 that I was going to be exhibiting at new events I decided to make three of my own wooden plinths and design them so they are easy to dismantle and set up as I would be going to the shows alone. Of course I decided to paint my new plinths black,I I absolutely love them and they have already saved me a lot of money not having to hire cabinets.

A real pinch me moment was when 11 pieces from my collection were selected by the team at Dover Street Market to showcase in their summer market exhibtion at their London store, promoting the work of independant designer makers from around the world. It was a stunning curation of jewellery and I am so honoured to have been part of it.

Following my engagement in 2023 I finally got time to design and craft my own engagement ring alongside me and partners wedding bands, for this I chose platinum for its grey tone and a durability and a natural grey spinel for the centre stone.

In September 2025 me and the LOML tied the knot at the stunning Pentney Abbey in Norfolk - it was a magical day full of love, tears and laughter celebrating with friends and family.

Throughout the year I was thrilled to have been asked to designed and crafted some incredibly special bespoke rings with gorgeous juicy gemstones, I absolutely love working on bespoke pieces alongside my collection work and hope the demand contiues and grows for the new year.

If you made it to the end of this blog, thank you for reading and thank you for being part of my journey, every like, share, comment and purchase means the world to me and my small business.

Wishing you a fabulous 2026 full of love, positivity, good health and success.

Much love DG x
